What exactly do you concetrate on though?

Depends on which method works for you best. there is the one where you concentrate on the space just around the person/thing you are trying to read. there is also the on where you just concentrate on the person/thing alone. There is a third method that I've rarely seen used. Heck i've only used it once. Been to long for me to remember what it was exactly. Oh and a mood ring works just about as good as reading auras.

A mood ring just changes with the temperature, the ones I've seen anyway.

Is there a certain distance you have to be from the object? Anything special you have to do before hand?

Well for me I can see auras of people and animals from up to 30 feet away. anything beyond that distance can give me a wrong reading. a few of my friends that can read auras can see the same distance if not a bit farther by a foot or two. the others have a shorter range. I've been trying to greaten my distance but I've only been able to increase my range by and inch or two at most.

How do you increase the distance, just practice? Any special requirements; can anybody do this?

It's taken me a year to get the almost two inches increased range. I mainly practiced with trying farther people and animals. But I also tried focusing on a single object trying to read it's aura from far away. Took alot of focusing to even see the aura from the distance without getting disrupted by other auras that were nearer.

What would be a good distance for a first try/first tries?

5 feet but first try with yourself by using your hand as a target to be read fo something closer. On your first tries when you are practicing with reading work with a white surface behind the oblect being read. that way you can see the coloring better. then work your way with other colors behind the object. When you are done with that, work on two  or more objects at the same time. when you get past the one object limit start working on moving objects.

Apparently I'm of the Violet Aura, with a hint of black.
Anyway I don't read auras per se, but I can feel them. If I'm near someone with a black aura, my ear starts buzzing and my left are goes numb for a bit. BUt when I'm near someone with a green aura, my foot goes numb and the back of my neck itches.

Being able to sence aura is a gift and a curse as you know Chibi. Being able to control and absorb auras or energie is another thing which is really difficult and dangerous and addicting. I have experience with auras on a large level. although controling them really uses up lots energy. Absorbing them is I believe something like being a drug addict. Although keeping in the energy absorbed is something much easier but hard if you take in too much. When you take in too much or not ehough,  there are side effects which arent really devistating just hard to handle.

If you use your hand then you can read your own aura. If you can see your aura then you can read other auras.

As for your other question, no. there is nothing telepathic about auras. sure auras are related to the psychic mind but not that far. auras are just for telling how one is feeling or the nature of the person/animal. The information can come in handy when you learn the object's aura. just remeber the color meanings. Stay away from the deep reds. they need time and space to cool down or will calm down when they are in their comfort zone.
